Teaching KCS principles to a group of engineers from Altiris. We include a lot of activities in all our training and facilitating, and take every opportunity to use environments other than the office. Altiris had a number of metrics, and improvement in those metrics ranged from 300% to 1,000% in just 9 months, at an estimated savings of over $10 Million.

One of the activities we use to teach communication and the importance of culture to succeeding at KM and KCS. This particular team was in Paris, France. We have developed many activities over the last 25 years, specifically designed to allow the participants to experience the principles we teach, not just hear them intellectually. This deepens their understanding, retention, and acceptance. It also supports our constant goal of not just teaching information, but changing attitudes and perceptions.

We have worked in the Netherlands a number of times - a beautiful country and fantastic people. Sometimes the facilities we are given are not ideal, but we have a training style and approach that is engaging and highly participative. So even in a difficult environment we are still able to achieve our objectives and make it interesting and fun. To make KM and KCS successful you have to change attitudes, perceptions, culture, and hearts. We make that happen every time.
